Lola Eclectic Cuisine, Ponce

Located in the historic district of Ponce at the Ramada Hotel near the cathedral in La Plaza de Ponce, Lola Eclectic Cuisine is quite simply the best restaurant in town. Lola was not named after a person, but is rather a symbol of what this restaurant embodies: passion, style, sensuality and deliciousness.

With an emphasis on using locally sources ingredients, award-winning Executive Chef Angel Santiago masterfully combines many different cuisines in inspiring new ways while always paying homage to his Puerto Rican roots.

Much like the cuisine, the décor fuses old and new by preserving the buildings Spanish style architecture with a modern, sexy twist. Among some of our favorite signature dishes are the Mahi Mahi Bites rolled in bacon with a coconut, lime, cilantro sauce and the new Chorizo and Gouda Puff Pastry are some of the favorite appetizers.

The 14 oz Certified Angus Rib Eye Steak is extremely tender and juicy with the full satisfaction meat lovers look for, usually serve with fingerlings potatoes in a garlic sauce, a flavorful combination. The seared duck breast with orange sauce has been one of the signature dishes of this restaurants since the beginning, clearly a must try.

One of the new dishes people are talking about is the fresh Cod fillet over a root vegetables escabeche and a piquillo pepper sauce on top. Here Chef Santiago gives you the experience of a puerto rican classic with a very skilful new way to combine the real flavors of our cuisine.
