One of the most beautiful beaches in the world, used as a practice range by the US Navy in the 60’s, the beach is now one of the major attractions in Puerto Rico. To get to the beach you have to travel to Culebra Island in the East of Puerto Rico. To get there you can take the Public Ferry that is $2.50 per way or by airplane from Isla grande, San Juan $50 per way, from Ceiba is $35. Once you get to the Town by ferry or plane transportation to the beach is around $2.00 to $5.00 depending how far you are. There are food stands, baths and restrooms at the beach. There is also a guy renting lounges with umbrellas.
Culebra Ferry Itinerary
Monday to Sunday from Fajardo to Culebra – 9:00 am, 3:00pm, 7:00pm
Monday to Sunday from Culebra to Fajardo – 6:30am, 1:00pm, 5:00pm
A local tip is that on Fridays there is a Ferry for cars that take passengers and depart from Fajardo to Culebra at 4:00am, so you will be early at the beach.
